Forklift drivers wanted for long-term employment to assist shipping and receiving department. Looking for hard-working, motivated, team player individuals to fill full-time day shift and night shift positions.
Job Description/Duties include but not limited to:
Forklift Experience using 18,000lb+ sit down vertical forklift – A MUST HAVE! (2 yr minimum)
High degree of attention required to prevent injuries to self and others
Good peripheral vision and good vision in general
Operating diesel powered forklift to load and unload large structural steel materials
Must be able to read a tape measure
Perform daily inspections on your equipment, and grease your machine when it needs it. Report any issues to supervisor immediately
Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand, walk, bend, climb, stoop, twist, crouch, kneel and inspect components for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry tools and materials as needed.
Unloading materials from suppliers safely and efficiently
Cross check/verifying that all received material are correct
Move materials to and from storage areas
Separate and stack all material by job in correct storage locations
Pull material to be processed, keep all operators loaded with material to avoid down time
Stack fabricated steel into a load built off of specific piece marks provided on a load list securely
Loading material safely by yourself, sometimes a double picking of loads moving as one (2 forklifts)
Working directly off of load list to get the correct material in the right load to avoid any miss-ships/shipping errors
Clean driving record
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
Strict adherence to safety protocols, with PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots with metatarsal guards) required at all times
Safety Oriented
Customer Service/Team Player attitude
Construction Industry Experience
Bilingual Spanish / English – A PLUS
This position also assists the shop as needed loading material onto equipment. Room for growth!
